Biography:
The Ricky Gervais / David Brent Lookalike Impersonator.
I have been a professional, full time lookalike/impersonator of Ricky Gervais/David Brent since 2004, I have been on many TV shows including Richard & Judy - Sky News - Weakest Link - Friday Night Project - This Week - The One Show etc, but most recently on Britains Got Talent 2010 as one of the Chippendoubles. We got through to the friday night live semi finals, and were told that we had the biggest live reaction in the history of the show. We went on tour and we are still performing all over the UK today. Then I was contracted to appear on 4 episodes of Louie Spences Showbusiness, on Sky1, (cameo parts with David Beckham and Gordon Ramsey Lookalikes.
I have worked for the BBC comedy department as a voice over artist of Ricky for a comedy spoof of the Kings Speech, I have been on various radio shows and have been the main content of viral videos for many websites and conferences, including Fujitsu in Australia to Microsoft Office 2010 in Basingstoke.
I met Ricky when I was summoned to interview him for Total Film Magazine, we got on famously, in fact, well enough for him to have said “Tim is the best”.
Subsequently to that,he told the commissioner for Sky1 that he is my biggest fan. I still haven't received my invitation to have dinner with him and all his Hollywood chums, but iʼm forever the optimist, and iʼm sure its in the post.
Since Ricky hosted the Golden Globes Awards in Hollywood, I have been asked to host a number of high profile Hollywood style award ceremonies myself, including; The Scottish Pharmaceutical awards, Edinburgh - Slough Business Awards, Slough - Office Depot Awards, Manchester - Siemens Awards, Pinewood Studios, and many more.
I have a Mckenzie Crook aka Gareth Keenan Lookalike from “the office” that I work with. He and I have a stand up show with audience participation and we are often booked for office type events.
Before you ask, yes, I do ʻThe Danceʼ a lot! If I were to give you one piece of advice, it would be “Do not accept cheap imitations”.
