Nicky’s passion for hairdressing and his unique style have made him an international icon. As personal stylist to movie stars, pop icons and princesses – Nicky has worked with on an entire generation of the world’s most famous faces.
With a career spanning over 35 years, Nicky is still revered by many as the best in the business. His enthusiasm for his work is stronger than ever and he spends much of his time on the salon floor doing what he loves – cutting and styling and creating beautiful hair styles.
He is constantly researching new techniques and products; many of which end up as part of the hugely successful Nicky Clarke product ranges.
The Nicky Clarke story began in 1991 when Nicky, who had established himself as one of the world’s leading hair stylist, joined forces with Lesley Clarke and they opened a salon in the heart of Mayfair, London.
Lesley quickly recognised that Nicky’s success should be consolidated by the launch of a “signature” haircare range. Her interest in aromatherapy and expertise in formulations alongside Nicky’s hair expertise formed the perfect relationship, Hairomatherapy was born. Designed to provide “affordable luxury”, and the latest hair care technology, Hairomatherapy (and Colour Therapy) have since become household names.
Since 2000, Lesley has driven the expansion of the salon business, bringing the famous Nicky Clarke name to cities across the UK; opening three salons outside of London with Manchester in 2001, Birmingham in 2005 and Leeds in 2007
Successful product lines quickly followed and coupled with Nicky’s media appearances, the Nicky Clarke brand quickly established itself as the biggest name in hair dressing and became the dominant force within the beauty industry.

Nicky trained under the legendary hairdresser of the 70's, Leonard, Soon Nicky began to make his mark as a session stylist in the high fashion world.
1988/9 - Session Hairdresser of the Year.
1991 - Nicky & Lesley open their now famous London, Mayfair salon.
1992/4/5 - London Hairdresser of the Year.
1993 - The highly successful Hairomatherapy product range launches.
1994 - British Hairdresser of the Year.
1999 - Nicky Clarke Electric range launched.
2000 - Colour Therapy™ product range launched
2001 - Manchester salon opened. Nicky Clarke Colour range launched.
2004 - Birmingham salon opened.
2005/6/7/8 - BAFTA Awards - Nicky Clarke Official Hairstylist.
2006/7 - Sponsors of the "Red Carpet" designer award at the British Fashion Awards, the Fashion 'Oscars'.
2006 - Red Carpet™ styling & 'Silver' hair care ranges launched.
2007 - Leeds salon opened. Nicky Clarke receives an O.B.E from Her Majesty the Queen
2008 - Appeared on Celebrity Come Dine with Me on Channel 4 on 13 November 2008 and as a judge on the final of Celebrity Scissorhands.
2008 - Awarded an OBE for 30 years service in the hair styling industry.
