Biography:
With over twenty-five years experience as a leadership consultant, Mac Macartney co- founded leadership development consultancies in Poland and Russia alongside his own UK company.
In 2016 Mac founded Liquid School, a network of experts helping business imagine a sustainable future. He is also the founder of the leadership-based social enterprise, Embercombe.
Recognised for his approach to sustainability, Mac sits on the Advisory Board for DanoneWave, the largest Public Benefit Corporation in the U.S. and has previously sat on sustainability advisory panels for Lafarge, Lend Lease and Procter & Gamble.
He was a faculty member of the WWF/IMD Business School ‘One Planet Leaders’ programme in Lausanne for three years and was awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Education for his work in service to community. Mac is also an Associate with Leaders’ Quest collaborating on global issues with leaders across business, government and civil society. He recently addressed key stakeholders from the Paris Climate Agreement on the topic of hope, courage and resilience.
Mac speaks to leaders across the corporate, public and third sectors. Most recent talks include HR Vision in London & Amsterdam, Sustainable Brands conference in Istanbul, Unilever’s 1HC global conference in London and Mars Corporation in Brussels. He has delivered four compelling TEDx talk.
