Denise is best known for her role on the panel of Loose Women.

Summary:

An award-winning TV favourite, Denise is best known for her role as Natalie Horrocks in Coronation Street and is now a regular presenter on ITV1’s Loose Women and has also recently starred in the third series of BBC1’s hit drama Waterloo Road, and took part in Dancing on Ice on ITV1.

Biography:

Well, whether Denise is talking about serious issues or joking around, she is always willing to reveal my own experiences - however personal or however much trouble she gets herself in!

Since joining Loose Women in 2005, Denise has shocked the panel with her insightful revelations – from admitting her eye surgery, turning up to the wrong awards ceremony and dishing the dirt on her husband Tim Healy’s hilarious bad habits in a certain room downstairs!

During serious debates, Denise hopes people think I’m equally honest and open. Having spoken about my battle with depression, the response she gets after talks is always great.

As well as being a Loose Woman, Denise has also appeared in the BBC drama Waterloo Road as flirtatious French teacher Steph Haydock. Before that you may have recognised her from having appeared on Coronation Street and Soldier, Soldier. Denise admits that when she is away filming, she always misses being on the Loose Women panel.

Denise’s television break came in 1983 when she played Jimmy Nail’s estranged wife Francis in Spender, then went on to play Polly (the tart with a heart) in children’s drama Biker Grove.

Denise starred alongside actor Tim Healy, in a drama he was in called A Kind of Living where she character dumped him. They were reunited on screen again when Tim appeared in Waterloo Road as the school’s security guard and yet again Denise’s character dumped him.

When in Solider, Solider, Denise performed You Don’t Have to Say You Love Me. The show was such a hit with viewers they decided to release it as double A-side along with Cry Me A River in 1995. The single reached No. 23 and stayed in the charts for three weeks.

Denise never got to go on Top of the Pops but Simon Cowell wanted to sign her, but it was before he was the powerful man he is now. The video is now been voted one of the top 10 worst videos ever! (Something Denise is actually really proud of.)

Denise joined Coronation Street in 1997 as Natalie Horricks. Her character soon began an affair with Sally Webster’s husband Kevin.

Denise has two sons, Matthew and Louis. Matthew is in a band called The 1975 and she is often at this gigs as an embarrassing mum.
