Dr Chris Van Tulleken is best known for being a BAFTA winning television presenter frequently alongside his twin brother Dr Xand. With programmes including the likes of Operation Ouch!
Summary:
Dr Chris and his twin brother Dr Xand are famous for taking a very hands-on approach to explaining how the body works. Their Horizon special “Is Binge Drinking Really That Bad?” where they tested the effects of drinking moderate amounts of alcohol daily (Tested by Chris) and bingeing weekly (Tested by Xand).
Biography:
Dr Chris trained in Medicine at Oxford and is a member of the Royal College of Physicians. He has a diploma in Tropical Medicine from the London School of Tropical Medicine and after more than a decade working in the NHS he is now doing a PhD in Molecular Virology under the supervision of Greg Towers at UCL.
He is one of the BBC’s leading science presenters and has worked on many programs including: Trust Me, I’m a Doctor, Horizon, Operation Iceberg, Museum of Life, Blizzard: Race to the Pole among others.
Dr Chris has worked alongside his brother, Xand on a variety of projects including Operation Ouch, a 2 x BAFTA winning children’s health show on Children’s BBC.
