Anthony Bennett is an inspirational speaker who was given the nickname ‘Miracle man’ from his shocking twelve times of infectious near-death experience. He shares his personal journey of teamwork, self-motivation, resilience, saying yes to opportunities and dealing with setbacks. Anthony played a major role in securing a £7.5m charity partnership between Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity and Whitbread PLC in 2012. He was named one of the happiest people in the UK, by the Independent on Sunday in their Happy List in 2015.
Biography:
Anthony Bennett is an inspirational speaker on teamwork, mental health and resilience in business, healthcare and educational setting who has been through an incredible twelve resuscitations from infectious diseases. He has delivered motivational speeches across the UK and internationally since 2008, just two years after his recovery, giving him the nickname ‘Miracle man’.
In 2006, he developed influenza, sepsis and streph pneumonia on his lungs after a school trip to Disneyland Paris. His heart stopped an astonishing 12 times. He suffered a seizure whilst in a coma and was given just only 10% chance of survival, spending 21 days on an Extra Corporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) life support machine. His parents were told to expect the worse and to start thinking about funeral arrangements. He incredibly survived and now inspires people by sharing his personal journey. Speaking topics include teamwork, self-motivated, resilience, saying yes to opportunities and dealing with setbacks and overcoming adversity.
Anthony has also played a major role on securing a £7.5m charity partnership between Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity and Whitbread PLC. The fund raised went towards the Premier Inn Clinical Building, helping the hospital treat up to 20% more patients in 2012.
In 2015, he was named one of the happiest people in the UK, by the Independent on Sunday in their annual Happy List.
